The Dhol, Bhangra and Dholi!
The Dhol is a barreled shaped double-headedΒ drum from Punjab (a state of five rivers divided between North India and Pakistan) widely used for Bhangra (a Northern Indian Folk Dance as well as a genre of music) and Dhamaal (a traditional Sufi style of classical music), while the person who plays the Dhol is called a “dholi”. The Dholiz Malaysia is proud to pave the way and teach younger children on how to play the dhol correctly. As per Master Sukvinders constant advice, always play the dhol to sound loud, sweet and clean!
