The dHoliz & FGIS showcase its interfaith orchestra at University Malaya

The Friendship Group for Inter Religious Service (FGIS) & The dHoliz was invited by University Malaya to showcase its interfaith orchestra in Dewan Tunku Chancellor on Sept 4 2012, to about 3,200 new freshie students as part of their orientation programme.
The FGIS is an informal gathering of major religious groups representing Islam, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism and Sikhism for the purpose of promoting unity and harmony in Malaysia through selfless service and human value programs.


The Dholiz becomes part of the 1Malaysia Orchestra

It is a privilege and great honour for The Dholiz to be part of the 1Malaysia Orchestra which leave people mesmerized everywhere we go. What started off as a collaboration idea to fuze music from various cultures and ethnic groups has become a roaring success with the orchestra repeatedly being requested to perform since its inception in May 2012.

Once again it was an honour and pleasure for The Dholiz to be part of this wonderful event. Guests were served with top notch entertainment form various dhol groups, bhangra & Bollywood dance groups and many local artist namely MPB (Malaysian Punjabi Bhangra), Goldkartz, Monsoon, J-Squadz, The Kahloon and of course the one and only awesome Heera!




The Dholiz leave their mark at SSAS Dinner

It was a memorable night for the guests of the Subang Sikh Association Selangor’s (SSAS) Grand Dinner in May 2012. They were served with fine cuisine, awesome emcees Rishiwant Randhawa and Jessy Chahl and excellent entertainment by the residents of Subang, the Malaysian Dhol Federation, REBEL and of course Monsoon who rocked the dance floor! Not only that, they were part of history – ROAR of The Dholiz simultaneously did the beatbox and chorus of Imran Khan’s “Amplifier” – a first time ever in the world!

It was a dream come true for The Dholiz to welcome one of the pioneers of Bhangra… The one and only Heera from UK! It was certainly an honor and pleasure to welcome them. We were absolutely graced with their presence and so humbled with their praises and words of encouragement.
